Nov. 2011 – Waconia, Minn. – The Ridgeview Delano Clinic will more than double in size following an expansion which is underway at the clinic.
The 11,000-square-foot expansion will build upon the 8,379-square-foot clinic that was built in 2002. The addition will provide expanded clinic space, additional rehabilitation space and space for potential partners of Ridgeview.
“Conceptually, we want to bring a breadth of services to the community that can meet the needs of the entire family,” said Mike Phelps, Ridgeview chief administrative officer. Earlier this year, an internist, Prasanna, MD, joined the clinic’s medical staff, and Gretchen Soberay, DO, family medicine, recently started. A third new provider is slated to join the team next summer.
One area that will be expanded is the rehabilitation offerings. “We’ve expanded our coverage of the school for sports rehab,” Phelps said. Nearly 3,000 square feet of the expansion will be devoted to rehabilitation. A regional pediatric clinic may also be added.
According to Phelps, the plan is to work through the winter, with the first phase of construction expected to be complete by late spring of 2012. The second phase is anticipated to be finished toward the middle to end of the summer of 2012.
